Thank god for the new artist on this issue! Marcus To brings some life back into one of my favorite characters.

So, we’ve got Marcus To on as the new penciller for Red Robin, and I’m super glad for it. Sure, his pencils are sort of in a typical comic book style and I’ve never heard of him, but it’s nice to Tim Drake looking just the right age again (not too young, not too old).
Chris Yost makes some actually relevant remarks to Blackest Night in here, but I find that the whole playup of The Council of Spiders being super badass on levels that rival The League of Assasins falls to pieces when you see the main guys of the Council of Spiders… I mean, how many four-armed people do we have to see in comics!!! Mortal Kombat (the first movie) sort of expended my taste for it.
Nevertheless, Tim Drake’s acting super cool and smart and clever and… oops he forgot about something, and I like it.
I’m still not sure how this is going to play out after Tim’s done joining Ra’s Al Ghul’s posse and defends off the Council of Spiders.
The comic marks an improvement for the series, but it may not necessarily make it the best.
