Super HeroiHOT is Elliott’s running column of indefinite length and unpredictable regularity.
This is my rating system for female comic book characters and their attractiveness (as characters). Typically, the higher scores represent female characters who, in my opinion, further the positive, non-sexist portrayal of women in the comic book form. The characters who are near the end of the list typically are there due to following the stereotypes of sexism in comics among many other things.
Keep in mind, the scores are not solely determined from my mildly feminist perspective. This is surely opinion-based, and, therefore, I encourage others to offer their opinions on the characters – in the friendliest way possible, please.
Each Character is rated in 4 Categories including: Appearance, Personality, Superpowers, and Secret Identity (what they do when they’re not being a super hero/villain). Each category is given 10 points for a total of 40 points. Cons not included in those categories will be subtracted from the total at the end to create a score out of 40.
