Web Comic Test #1

24 Sep

Shortly after posting the last blog, I figured I’d test out drawing my web comic characters on the new tablet.  Hope you enjoy the short - incredibly rough – comic.

New Digital Tablet!

24 Sep

So, I finally got a digital tablet!  I’ve been wanting one of these for at least a year, and have been interested in them for probably three.

The timing came down to it, and I decided that it was “now or never.”

Here’s the tablet I got:

I got a pretty damn good deal off of Amazon which made me really happy.

To give you an idea of its ease of use… that drawing I did up there in Photoshop was only the second time of me playing around with the drawing tablet… and I did it all with the pen!  No mouse needed.

What to expect from my new investment:

- A running web comic which I’m currently developing.

- Starting up my graphic journal again for now you all to see.

- fun drawings.

- more original artwork!

I’m super excited.

Invincible Iron Man #18

I’m really loving this series, and I have every good reason to do it.  Not only is it exciting, it creates a world of mystery, intrigue, danger, and something of, well, interest.

I was beginning to become a fan of the Daken-centered storyline, but arc two’s beginning is a pretty big downer.  Click to see why.

Batman and Robin #4

Philip Tan takes over the reigns of penciller from Frank Quitely in this Grant Morrison-scribed tale of Gotham.  Does he fail or succeed?

Red Robin #4

Tim Drake’s back on the search for Bruce Wayne, and this issue marks the last flashbacks of the rift between Tim and the rest of the gang (awwhhh, why can’t they get along?).
