New Post, Yay!

Man, we were so close to hitting almost a hundred views in a single day last Thursday.  We got one away from reaching that goal, but I’m still super excited and grateful for the 99 views that helped get us that close.

Megan and I are almost finished getting settled into our apartment just in time for school!  Our relaxing agent of the last week has been watching Weeds.  We’ve blazed through 2.5 seasons in a week!  That’s pretty crazy.  The series definitely gets darker after the first season, but it’s still incredibly enjoyable. Zooey Deschanel was a lot more enjoyable in Weeds than 500 Days of Summer.  She’s so typecasted.

Currently, I’m eating Teddy Grahams and laying on Megan’s side of the bed because she’s out babysitting and I don’t have that much to do.  Well… okay, I have a lot I could do, but I really don’t feel like it right now.

I’ll try to catch up some more on comic reviews in the next couple weeks, and I’ll be annoyingly reminding my counterpart that she needs to blog more often.

Super HeroiHOT #9: Sally Acorn

Here I was watching America’s Next Top Model when I thought, “Dammit, I really should do a new Super HeroiHOT.”  Part of the reason I’ve been slacking has been because well 1) I’m moving 2) I’ve been looking for female characters from different publishers other than the big two 3) I wanted a character who was a different ethnicity or… in this case, species.

If you know about Sonic the Hedgehog then you may not even recognize Sally Acorn (unless you remember the very old animated show from the 90s), but she’s a very important character in the Sonic Universe.

Alright… Alright… So, I need to catch up even more on my reviews.  I was looking for a real quick Super HeroiHOT I could whip out, but opted for this instead.  Don’t worry, I have a couple Super HeroiHOTs in the works… I’m just, you know, moving and shit.

I saw two movies this weekend… on the same day.  I fulfilled my melodramatic love with “The Time Traveler’s Wife” and then exploded into “The Hurt Locker.”

Tales of the TMNT #60

To say the least, I’ve been feeling a bit guilty about not having any comic book reviews lately (don’t worry, I’m working on a new Super HeroiHOT which no one will suspect).  Sure, I’ve been preparing for moving into my new apartment and going back for my second year of college, but that’s no excuse of withholding my occasionally witty points of view and striving feminism from you guys.  Sure, reading the whole “The Walking Dead” series (up to the new issue that came out on Wednesday which I’ll give a review of soon enough) just in time for the announcement of it turning into a television show probably didn’t help either.

So, I fell back on one of the most reliable, entertaining comics in the industry to reinvigorate me into writing some more reviews.

  Megan and I are super sorry for not posting the last week.  We were camping for about 5 days, but the rest we don’t have an excuse for.  We have discussed adding a new feature called “1000 Things We Hate” to counter this one website called 1000 Awesome things or something.  So, hopefully we’ll start that pretty soon.
